Challeging !

The work and the training of an Anti-Poaching Ranger is among the most adventurous and demanding courses we offer. Anti-poaching training is only for aspiring professionals, or for tough people looking for the ultimate adventure and a real challenge.

Working as an AP Ranger is only for professionals, who understands that anti-poaching is a very demanding security work in the wild, which can involves personal risks.

Importance and job opportunities

A trained AP ranger is of enormous and increasing importance for the conservation of African wildlife. - In addition to state, communal and private wildlife sanctuaries, AP scouts can also find employment with international wildlife conservation organizations and security companies.Because of his diverse abilities, the WP can also be used to help prevent other crime outside urban areas, especially livestock theft.

Furthermore, AP officers, due to their bushcraft, tracking and wildlife expertise, can additionally work as assistant hunting guides (trackers) and field guides in the tourism industry.

Anti-poaching Rangers specially trained in Africa have specialist knowledge and skills that are in demand nationally and internationally. - But also the participants, who do not aspire to a professional activity, can benefit from the personal development which AP training courses can stimulate.

Anti Poaching Scouts

The Scouts are AP Ranger who are specialized in the reconnaissance of large wilderness areas on the search for poachers and traces of poaching. They are to detect poachers and secure evidence that leads to the arrest of the offenders which should be done by AP Law Enforcement Officers.

The scout is equipped for self-protection only with simple weapons (e.g. traditional weapons, for example spear and machete), not with firearms. He should detect armed poachers, observe them and report to the Anti Poaching law enforcement Officers for back up.

For his own safety, and out of Health&Safety precautions, he is also trained in SERE (Survival - Evasion - Resistance - Escape), First Aid as well as in CTS Krav Maga (self-defense/contact combat) with and without an impact weapon.

Anti Poaching Law Enforcement (AP-LE) Ranger

The Anti-Poaching Law Enforcement (AP-LE) Officer is an AP officer who is both an AP Scout as well as a law enforcement officer. Additionally to the functions of the Scout, the AP-LE Ranger specializes in the arresting of poachers, even if they are armed with firearms and potentially violent. - The AP-LE Ranger is either working in a combined function, or he functions as a backup emergency response unit for the scouts.

In this strategy, the AP-LE Ranger are called in when the scouts meet situations they cannot handle. Also combined teams of two Scouts together with one or two AP-LE Rangers are possible.

The AP-LE officer is equipped with a firearm and trained to use it in self-defense and as a safety precaution during detaining armed offenders. In addition to self-defense and the arrest of armed and aggressive suspects, the AP-LE officer must also be able to actively search for hidden and armed suspects, using raids and ambushes, as well as tracking fleeing offenders.

Recruiting services

Note to security service providers and cooperate clients: Our services can also include the recruitment and selection of suitable candidates before starting a training course. This is a basic requirement for the best possible performance in training and deployment. - Trust our vast experience and many contacts to find you the best applicants, both physically and mentally.

Advantages

for international course participants from Europe

For European course participants, our training courses are particularly attractive for various reasons:

- Africa is legendary and a leader in anti-poaching missions. It is therefore inevitable that foreigners who want to qualify in anti-poaching missions come to Africa and to us as anti poaching experts for the training.

- We offer training conditions that cannot be offered in Europe. , this relates not only to shooting and driving training conditions.

Anti-poaching missions largely depend on rangers' skills and knowledge of living and surviving in the wild. Obviously, this can only be trainied where the operations take place. Second, success and safety depend on the scouting and scouting skills of the rangers. Again, this can only be developed in the appropriate environment to develop the famous "bush eyes" of anti-poaching rangers. Therefore, anti-poaching training should only take place in the wilderness where operations are planned.

- There is no aspect of effective anti-poaching missions that can be practiced anywhere else as effectively as here on our 100 sq km wilderness reserve.

- Because of the climatic conditions in Namibia (sunshine almost all year round) open air training can be offered permanently.

- It can be trained on weapons that often cannot or are not allowed to be used in training in Europe - both in terms of defense and potential attackers.

- Courses can be held in German or English. It may also be of interest to Germans because of the international qualifications that come with completing a course in English

- We have a lot of practical experience in Anti Poaching in Africa. And - unfortunately - there are also cases of poaching in our training area, the Ondjou Wilderness Reserve, so the training takes place where an emergency can also occur!
